Description
Representatives of the Disabled American Veterans were the first purchasers of the new purple honorable discharge 3-cent postage stamps. John L. Landrum, left, presents sheet of stamps to, left to right, Warren D. Barton, commander of the Fort Worth, Texas chapter, Clay W. Smith, state executive committeeman, and C. E. Toliver, state adjutant. Mr. Landrum is wearing a tucked-in long-sleeved shirt and trousers and the other three men are wearing suits. The stamps will go on sale at the Fort Worth Post Office. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 10, 1946.
