    Description

Workmen spray pecan trees in the R. C. Bowen orchard at the East Fort Worth city limits. They are using a new type pump capable of forcing the leaves apart and depositing lead arsenate on the nut stems and buds to kill the pecan case-bearer, one of the many insects which invade pecan orchards. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, May 14, 1946.
