Description
A memorial service was held at John Tarleton Agricultural College to honor the school's war dead. Sitting at the speakers' platform, from left to right, are General Walter Krueger, former commander of the 6th Army and the principal speaker, E. J. Howell, the school's dean, Earl Rudder, mayor of Brady, Texas, and president of the ex-students association, and Reverand E. L. Miley of Stephenville, Texas, who gave the invocation. Behind them is the American flag and flags of other nations. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 6, 1946.
