Description

The annual elementary school relay carnival is being held at Farrington Field. Standing behind the school children, left to right, are W. L. Stewart and B. C Shulkey. They are giving the children instructions before the relay races. Mr. Stewart, president of school board, is dressed in a hat and suit. Mr. Shulkey, assistant superintendent, is wearing a hat, dress shirt, and a necktie. The crowd of children are representing Riverside, Arlington Heights, Polytechnic, East Van Zandt, Alice Carlson, W. J. Turner, and D. McRae Elementary Schools.
