    Description

The Hardin-Simmons University band staged a noisy demonstration in the Texas and Pacific Station during a brief stop en route to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois. Miss June Frost, 20, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Frost of Abilene, Texas, is shown holding one of the six flags which have flown over Texas and which the band is taking to the convention. Miss Frost was "Miss Abilene" during the recent West Texas Chamber of Commerce convention. She is wearing a dress and a hat. Other band members are standing behind her.
