A high school track meet is being held in Dallas, Texas. Competing in the 440-yard regional preliminaries, left to right, are Horace Maddux (Paschal High School), Tommy Cox (Woodrow Wilson High School), Charles Clark (North Dallas High School), J. R. Tucker (Adamson High School), and Albert Tabor (Corsicana State Home). Maddux and Cox are running step for step out of the first turn in the Region III race. Cox went on to win the race with a time of 50.9.
