    Description

Friendly political opponents are wishing each other well in the runoff election on April 17, 1946. Pictured shaking hands, left to right, are Roy Adams and L.E. Harris. The election will make one of the men a River Oaks alderman. Both men are seen holding a blank poster. In the Fort Worth Star-Telegram issue where this photograph was published, the number "131" was edited onto the poster board. The number represents the votes each received in the regular election on April 2. Mr. Adams is dressed in a hat, button-up shirt and trousers. Mr. Harris is wearing a hat, short-sleeve shirt, and trousers.
