Description

A special Spring Training game is being held at LaGrave Field a week before 1946 Opening Day. The Fort Worth Cats, a minor league affiliate of the Brooklyn Dodgers, are hosting the St. Louis Cardinals. In the top of the first inning Cardinal utility player, Dick Sisler hit a ground ball to Bob Ogle, Cats' third baseman. Ogle threw to first baseman Lou Ruchser (50), who is shown stretching for the throw and beating Sisler by a short step.
