Description
The Fort Worth Cats, a minor league affiliate of the Brooklyn Dodgers, are preparing for the upcoming 1946 season. One of the top Spring Training prospects is Lou Ruchser. The big left-handed first basemen is hoping to earn a spot on the roster. he has been sidelined the past few games with a bruised finger. He is expected to return to the lineup for the exhibition match-up between Texas Christian University and the New York Yankees. Ruchser is shown taking practice swings on the field.
