Veterans Village, first family. Mayor Carnrike (right) welcoming Mr. and Mrs. Robert Spain Junior and children, Teresa, 5, and Janice, 2. The couple are the first veteran's family to move into the new Parkside Place project. The small family meet the mayor on the front porch of the house with wide smiles. Mrs. Spain Junior is shown shaking hands with the Mayor as her husband looks on. Their children stand between the mayor and their mother and look at the camera. Mr. Spain Junior and Mayor Carnike are wearing dark suits while Mrs. Spain Junior is wearing a striped jacket and skirt. The young girls are wearing small coats and dresses.
