Description

The Fort Worth Cats, a minor league affiliate of the Brooklyn Dodgers, are preparing for the upcoming 1946 season. Warming-up for a Spring Training game is Charles Samaklis, a leading candidate for the Cat pitching staff. Samaklis last pitched in the Georgia-Florida League in 1941 before serving in the military. He is a veteran of the European Theater. The right-handed pitcher is shown going into his wind-up. He is dressed in a baseball uniform.
