Description

The Fort Worth Cats, a minor league affiliate of the Brooklyn Dodgers, are preparing for the upcoming 1946 season. During the first week of spring training, the Cats were served a hearty, home-cooked meal. Hostess Alice Traylor is holding a plate as the ballplayers dig in. The Cats, left to right, are Moe Santomaues and Barney White. Santomaues is a second baseman. He is dressed in a collared shirt, necktie, and a sweater. White, a native of Paris, Texas, is an infielder. He is wearing a button-up shirt and a blazer.
