Description

Miss Jene McDonald, 22, daughter of Mrs. L. H. Arnett of 2218 Ellis, has filed her entry in the Queen of the Range beauty contest at the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show. Miss McDonald says she is an old-fashioned girl who hasn't lost sight of the household arts of cooking and sewing, yet likes to sketch with pencil and paint with oils and water colors. She is five feet, seven inches in height. This contest seeking the most beautiful girl in Texas will be judged by Earl Carroll, Hollywood show producer. Miss McDonald is standing against a wall with her arms folded. She's wearing a dress and necklace with a pendant. Star-Telegram Morning Edition February 24, 1946
