Left to right, Mildred C. Bailey and Helen Garrison. Miss Helen Garrison, 20, of 1716 Galveston, is among the latest entries in the Queen of the Range Beauty Contest at the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show. Miss Garrison, a red head, is a stenographer for the Federal Public Housing Authority. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Garrison of Decatur, Texas. She was a 1943 graduate of the Decatur High School. Her chief interests are sports and painting with oils. This contest will pick the most beautiful girl in Texas will be judged by Earl Carroll, Hollywood show producer, in the Will Rogers Auditorium at 4:00 p.m. March 7. The winner will be awarded a contract to appear with the Earl Carroll Vanities revue during the stock show season, March 8-17. Miss Bailey is wearing a dress and necklace with a heart shaped pendant.
