Description

Martha Bowers and her sister Patsy Bowers examine an almond tree branch laden with flowers. They are the daughters of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Bowers of 2013 Lee Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas. The almond tree grows in the family's back yard. Martha is wearing a jumper and a shirt. Patsy is holding school books and a notebook in her left hand while holding the tree branch with her right. She is wearing a skirt and blouse and also a necklace. Behind them is a picket fence. This photograph appeared in the February 21, 1946 morning edition of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
