Description
Arlington, Texas Home for Aged Masons residents review a printed program for the Masonic George Washington birthday celebration to be held in Fort Worth, Texas. Residents are (left to right) W. J. Bennett, Dalhart, Texas, charter member of Dalhart Commandery and Khiva Temple Shrine of Amarillo, Texas; W. E. Brown of Cleveland, Texas, and S. E. Austin, Fort Worth, Texas. The men are seated on a leather sofa. To the left of the sofa is a small jug in which sits a little United States flag with 48 stars. Mr. Bennett is wearing slacks, shirt and jacket. Mr. Brown is wearing a suit and shirt and has a walking cane propped against him. Mr. Austin is wearing slacks with both a belt and suspenders, shirt and tie. A pocket watch chain is visible. This photograph appeared in the February 21, 1946 evening edition of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
