A view of the crowded registration desk at the 59th and last annual meeting of the Texas Bar Association at the Blackstone Hotel. Registering for the event are, left to right, S. A. Crowley, of Fort Worth, Texas, Nelson Scurlock, of Fort Worth, Texas, Jim Whitmore, of Fort Worth, Texas, general chairman of the convention, Bert Walker, of Fort Worth, Texas, president of the local bar, George H. Carter, of Marlin, Texas, a director of the State Bar of Texas, which will replace the Texas Bar Association, Vera Virginia Fogg, of Fort Worth, Texas, Angus G. Wynne, of Longview, Texas, president of the Texas Bar Association, Hugh Montgomery, of Houston, Texas, and Harry K. Brown, of Fort Worth, Texas. Standing behind the desk are Homa Hill, in charge of registration, and Margaret Odneal, both of Fort Worth, Texas. An unidentified woman is also sitting behind the desk, using a typewriter. The male lawyers are wearing suits. Miss Fogg and Miss Odneal are wearing dresses.
