Description
Former Army captains and privates work side by side learning a trade at the public schools' Technical High Annex for veterans in rear of Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. Ex-Private Leroy Hobertz of Fort Worth, Texas, left, and ex-Captain Harry Savio of Waco, Texas, are applying tools to an aircraft engine in working toward their aircraft and engine licenses. Hobertz served with the 7th Air Force in the South Pacific and Savio was an instrument flight instructor at San Marcos, Texas. The two men, both wearing coveralls, are standing behind an airplane engine that is sitting on a metal table. Star-Telegram Morning Edition February 8, 1946
