    Description

    Gerald R. McElfresh, 18, Baptist Seminary student was arrested here and held for removal to Ohio on federal auto theft charges. He was charged with transporting a stolen car last October 8, from Akron to Huntingsburg, Indiana. He is waiting in the county jail to go back to Akron Ohio, his home to stand trial for stealing and transporting seven or eight cars across state line. He came to Fort Worth in November 21, and soon after was converted while attending services at the First Baptist Church. McElfresh testified that since his conversion he had been going straight and will continue to do so. The youth was arrested here by an FBI agent and City Detective Lieutenant Cobb on a fugitive warrant from Akron. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 31, 1946.
