Description

Some of the 90 cots set up in the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) gymnasium for servicemen and war veterans were occupied immediately Saturday night by early arrivals. Guests pay $1 for sleeping quarters, and receive 50 cents of it back next morning when they return their bedding. Shown here is Sergeant (Sgt.)William Carl of Saint (St.) Louis, Missouri, signing in for sleeping quarters and H. M. Butler officiates at the "guest book." Sergeant (Sgt.) Carl is wearing uniform and Mr. Butler is wearing a jacket. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 27, 1946.
