Description

Shown here is Tom Stallcup, candidate for County Commissioner. He is standing against a bare wall, facing front and wearing suit and tie. He severed his connection with precinct No. 2 on January 15 as supervisor of roads, bridges and trucks and announced he will not make the race for County Commissioner in that precinct, despite the request of friends. He came to Fort Worth in 1902 shortly after his discharge from the United States Army. He served three years and was in the Philippines with troops in the Spanish-American War. He and Mrs. Stallcup reside at E. Rosedale and Stallcup Road. The street was named for him. They have one son, Herschel Stallcup. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 27, 1946.
