Description
Chaplain and Major Howard Johnson, recently assigned to the Fort Worth Army Air Field as the first protestant chaplain on the post. He served 27 months in the Pacific with a 5th Air Force bomb group. He also performed funeral services for Stanley Gunn, Star-Telegram correspondent, who was fatally wounded October 25, 1944. Major Johnson is standing in front of a nondescript wall and is wearing his Army uniform.
