Major (Maj.) J. P. Gilmer, head of construction and contracting company. While overseas in North Africa and Italy, Major Gilmer made his business plans and hired some of the men in his ordnance battalion who will join the company when they return to the States. He is shown wearing his military uniform, standing against a bare wall with his hands in pockets. He has wife, daughter, Betty Ann and son, Charles. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, Januay 1, 1946.
