Wheeler Worley, left, and Morris King, center, seated, members of the Optimists Club, the first men's civic club to serve at the Service Men's Center all night Saturdays, checking in Corporal J. R. Hull, as their club was the last volunteer group to serve before the center closes and will move to Hotel Texas. Mr. Worley and Mr. King are wearing suits and Corporal Hull is wearing his military uniform. Mr. King is sitting at a table. On the back wall are various notices that read "Veterans' Information Center"; "We Cannot Be Responsible for Losses or Theft"; "For Your Own Protection Please Check Valuables At Registration Desk"; and "Notice No Loitering Men Sleeping." Published Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition January 7, 1946.
