Description

Matthew J. Allison, shown at Fort Worth Public Library. He made a New Year's resolution to read during 1946 each of the ten books recommended by Doctor (Dr.) Robert M. Hutchins, University of Chicago chancellor. He is sitting at a desk with the library's display of books alongside a Star-Telegram clipping on Dr. Hutchins' statement. Mr. Allison is wearing a double breasted pinstripe suit and diving into one of the books on his reading list. There are maps hanging on the walls. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, December 31, 1945.
