Description

Arthur Joe Schmitt, left, Seaman First Class, and his father, Arthur George Schmitt. Both men were back from the battle zones to spend Christmas with their family. Arthur Joe operated a rapid-fire gun on a destroyer. He is wearing his military uniform. Arthur George, a discharged Seabee has his arm around his son as they sit on the couch. The elder Mr. Schmitt is wearing a double breasted pinstripe suit. There is a window behind the couch and a radio off to the side. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 30, 1945.
