Description
Shown here left to right, are Private (Pvt.) Ray Taylor of Tacoma, Washington, and Private (Pvt.) Cornelius Penn, of Lyden, Washington. Unhappiness is registered on their faces as they are en route to Harlingen and are spending their first Christmas away from home. The men are dressed in their military uniforms. Cornelius has an arm over Taylor's shoulder as they sit on a bench at the Railroad Station. Several men are standing by a ticket booth in the background. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 24, 1945.
