Fort Worth (Texas) Park Department Christmas party contest winners Fred Kahler, left, J. E. Casstevens, center, and Ralph Kirklin. They are holding a turkey upside down by its feet. Mr. Kahler won a turkey for guessing the number of pages in the city directory. He is wearing a baseball hat and a button-up shirt tucked into his trousers. Mr. Casstevens is the assistant park attendant. He is wearing a hat and a suit. He is presenting a twenty-five dollar victory bond to Mr. Kirklin. Mr. Kirklin won the bond by guessing the number of pecans in a gallon jar. He is wearing a hat and a button-up shirt tucked into his trousers. The men are standing on a platform in front of a park bench. There is a small crowd of people and a car behind them. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 22, 1945.
