Description
Private First Class J. D. Williams, Marine veteran of the Okinawa campaign returned to Fort Worth, Texas after being discharged at Camp Pendleton. He plans to return to his former job with Patterson Sargent Company. He spent two years with the Marines with fifteen months of overseas duty. He was stationed on the Solomon Islands before making the invasion of Okinawa with the 1st Marine Division. He is home with his wife and two children - Jimmy and Linda. Williams is dressed in his military uniform standing by a bare wall. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, December 21, 1945.
