Description
Lieutenant Elmer A. Addington Junior, a Marine pilot was in Fort Worth, Texas visiting his parents. He was a football letterman of North Side High School, Texas Christian University, and Texas Wesleyan College before enlisting. For the past sixteen months he has been piloting a B-25 with a Marine Air Wing. He completed twenty-seven missions and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with three gold stars. He is wearing his military uniform and standing with his hand is trousers' pocket. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, December 24, 1945.
