Description
General Jonathan M. Wainwright, right, got a new honor that can be symbolized on his Army uniform. He has been made an honorary member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and was awarded that organization's Distinguished Service Medal. Notification came from Major Edmund R. Wiles. The general also is: honorary chief of the Yakima Indians, honorary mayor of his home town of Walla Walla, Washington, and honorary State Highway Patrolman in the state of Washington. He is sitting at a booth, wearing his military uniform. There is an unidentified man wearing a military uniform sitting beside him at left.
