Staff Sergeant Bill Williams, Gatesville, Texas, recovering from multiple injuries received in the crash landing of his B-24 in England in May 1944, is shown with his mother, Mrs. Stewart Williams, and one of the young hens they exhibited at the Southwest Turkey Breeders Exposition. Sergeant Williams is wearing his military uniform and his mother is wearing a blouse, blazer and skirt. The bird is standing on a table and more turkeys are in cages in the background.
