Description
Five-year-old Lowell Byrd posing with the prize-winning turkey at the Southwest Turkey Breeders Exposition in Pioneer Palace. Lowell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Byrd, commercial turkey breeders of Millsap, Texas. The bird won first place in the record-of-production division of the exposition. Lowell is wearing a coat, trousers and a hat. Beside him, at right, is a large wooden crate.
