Annual city-wide Fire Prevention Essay Contest winners are, left to right, Betty Lou Reeves and Norma Gragg, both students of Amon Carter Riverside High School. Miss Reeves won second place in the 10th grade division, and Miss Gragg was the third place winner in the junior high group. Miss Reeves, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Reeves, had as the subject for her essay, "Build for Permanence." Her English teacher is Miss Dorothy Nickels. Miss Gragg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Gragg, won with an essay titled "Boarding House Fire Mystery." She is in Mrs. Alma Leonard's English class. The girls are standing in front of a bare wall, both wearing blouses and skirts. Miss Gragg is wearing a cardigan and a floral necklace.
