Back in Texas after 33 months of directing all amphibious troop movements for the 6th Army in Pacific is Colonel F. L. McDonald. Sitting on a couch, left to right, are Mrs. McDonald, Colleen McDonald, 10, the colonel, and Sally McDonald, 7. The family were guests of Professor and Mrs. J. Willard Ridings. Mrs. McDonald is wearing a buttoned-up coat and skirt, the two daughters are wearing matching blouses, sweater vests and skirts, and Colonel McDonald is wearing his military uniform.
