Description
The Polytechnic High School basketball team faced off against their district rivals, Riverside High School. The Poly Parrots started off slow, missing their first twenty-three shots. Edgar West, number 15 with Poly, is shown shooting what appears to be a sure basket, but somehow rolled out. Other players are left to right Bob Fannin (Poly - 5), J. C. Parkman (Riverside - 14), Floyd Berry, (Riverside - 4), Doug Kenney, (Riverside - 13). The half ended at a 5-5 tie. The Parrots came out of the locker room, angry with their first half misses, and managed to win the game 20-16. West, score 11 of his team's 20 points.
