Description
One of the smoothest working departments in the Star-Telegram is the mailing room on the basement mezzanine. Here a crew of 22 men work with precision to get the papers to the dealers and individual subscribers. After papers are stacked and weighed, they are placed on an escalator and carried to the loading dock. On the dock, Oliver Patrick takes the bundle from the escalator. Practically all of the bundles of evening editions are carried by car or truck, as are the morning suburban editions. The early mail editions largely go by train. Mr. Patrick is wearing a shirt and trousers.
