Description

Major General Claire L. Chennault, former commander of the "Flying Tigers" and the 14th Air Force in China, was met at Municipal Airport Tuesday morning by Brig. Gen. James f. Powell, right, acting chief of staff of the AAFTC. Behind Chennault is his secretary, Mrs. Doreen Lonberg, who worked for him in China. Chennault and his secretary Mrs. Lonberg appear to be getting off the plane and Gen. Powell is greeting Major Chennault. Both men are wearing their uniforms and Mrs. Lonberg is wearing a skirt suit, a shawl , and a headband.
