Description
Lt. Joe R. Johnson, 21, an AAF navigator and former prisoner of Germany, began his terminal leave Oct. 2 and is at home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Johnson, 416 Chicago. Johnson's plane , a B-17 was shot down July 11, 1944 on his 19th mission. He was interned in Slag Luft 1 until his liberation on May 13, 1945.
