Description
Picture took place at the home of ex-Sergeant Carl Zich and Mrs. Carl Zich, 3221 Lubbock. Sgt. Zich met for the first time his 2 year old daughter, Carol, when he returned home from two and a half years of service with the 5th Air Force in the Pacific Theatre. At the same his family saw him in his uniform for the first time since he entered the service in February 1943. Sgt. Zich was the son of Mrs. Helen Zich, 508 Hassett. He saw action in New Guinea and the Philippines' Leyte and Luzon. Sgt. Zich is carrying his daughter Carol, she appears to be wearing a dress. There is a small table in the background of the picture in which there is a lamp, teddy bear, a picture frame, and some other toys.
