Description
Margaret Waldahl, left, eight years old, and Nancy Jary, seven, raised $1.30 for the American Red Cross war relief fund by sweeping front porches in Monticello, Texas. Margaret is the daughter of Mrs. C. W. Waldhal and Nancy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Jary. The girls are standing against a blank wall, both wearing dresses. Margaret is holding a broom with the bristles on the ground and Nancy is holding a broom with the bristles pointing upwards by her head.
