Published morning edition May 28,1940. Photograph of two women sitting at a small table. Standing beside the table is a young female child. The child is handing a small piece of paper to one of the women. There is a small white box on the table and a sign on the front of the table that has the words: "Did you hear the President make an appeal for your help to the Red Cross. Make your contribution now! Give until it hurts". On the wall behind the people is a white banner with a large cross on it. There is also a poster on the wall behind the people that depicts a small female child with a sad look on her face. The poster also has a cross on it and the words: "War Relief".
