    Description

    The Community War Chest is kicking off their 1945 campaign, asking Fort Worth, Texas, residents to "give gratefully." Participating in the campaign, left to right, are William Monnig, Captain Leonard J. Dow, Homer Covey, and Ed Parker. They are attending the opening banquet at the Hotel Texas. Mr. Monnig is standing behind the Allied flag display, dressed in a suit. Captain Dow is the commanding officer of the Naval Air Station at Grand Prairie, Texas, and a veteran of the Pacific. He is dressed in a dark suit. Mr. Covey is co-chairman of the general drive. He is wearing a double-breasted suit with a bow tie. Mr. Parker is dressed in a double-breasted suit.
