    Description

Union members are picketing outside the Convair production plant in Fort Worth, Texas, after an unauthorized walkout shut down the factory. Many former service men are in the picket line established by the American Federation of Labor machinists. Standing behind the placard, and still wearing his Army cap, is Billy C. Taylor, an infantryman in the European Theater. At his left is George Thomas, a sergeant in the Army Air Force. Next in line is C. F. Smith, a veteran of World War I and World War II. They are carrying signs that read, "We fought for you over there, fight for us here!" Another picketer is holding a sign that reads, "Grievance Procedure."
