Lieutenant Robert D. Goodrich Junior is a pilot in the United States Navy. He enlisted in 1942 after attending Texas Christian University and the University of Texas. Lieutenant Goodrich was the lead pilot of the bombing squadron for the Essex carrier's Air Group 83. For his actions overseas, he was awarded the Navy Cross. He is home in Fort Worth, Texas, on a 30-day furlough. He is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Goodrich. Lieutenant Goodrich is sitting on a striped chair, dressed in his military uniform.
