    Description

    Lieutenant Rex H. Slinkard, captured by the Germans at the Rapido in Italy, is back in Texas visiting his old home at San Antonio, Texas, his wife and two children at Bangs, Texas, and friends in Fort Worth, Texas. Among those he called was Lieutenant Colonel Andy Price. Lieutenant Slinkard, who trained with the 36th Division at Camp Bowie, was a member of the 141st Infantry, of which Price was executive officer.
