    Alice Carlson Elementary School supporters (left to right) Mrs. Mary F. Baker, Mrs. E. G. McKinney, Mrs. P. B. Duval (teacher) and Mrs. Edd Hyde. These mothers of first grade pupils at the Alice Carlson Elementary School receive instruction from the teacher, Mrs. Duval, holding a book on the beginning reading program their children are given. The women are shown sitting at a desk in a classroom, looking on at Mrs. Duval and her book.
