Copy of a check for $5,000 dollars from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures made out to Mrs. Edna Gladney. The check was made in consideration of picture rights to "Blossoms in the Dust," a motion picture based on the story of the life and work of Mrs. Gladney as superintendent of the Texas Children's Home and Aid Society. The check is dated 6/12/40 (June, 12, 1940).
