Description

Pledges to the Chi Delta Chi sorority who were initiated at the home of the president, Miss Dorothy Bryant (not pictured). Standing around a chair, left to right, they are Misses Zelma Jeter, Janice Downs, Mary Frances Manchester and Phyllis Jean Montgomery. Seated in the chair is Mrs. C. S. Youngblood, the sorority mother. Miss Jeter is wearing a dress with a Western themed print and a sheer polka-dot overlay. Miss Downs is wearing a dress with a wide collar and buttons down the front. Miss Manchester is wearing a striped dress with a bow tied at the collar. Miss Montgomery is wearing a dress with buttons down the front, off-centered, and plaid trim along the collar and edge of the sleeves. Mrs. Youngblood is wearing a dark-colored dress with lace trim along the neckline and a blazer. Pinned to the blazer is a corsage.
