Students throughout Fort Worth, Texas, are preparing for the opening day of the 1945-1946 school year. Principal Elden B. Busby, of Arlington Heights High School, is conferring with a group of new students entering the high school. Principal Busby is shown seated at his desk. The students, left to right, are Dean Hatch, Jim Cornish, Conrad Johnson, and Gene Fensky. Mr. Hatch, of Azle, Texas, is wearing a button-up shirt and trousers. Mr. Cornish, of Houston, Texas, is dressed in a plaid shirt and trousers. Mr. Johnson, of San Antonio, Texas, is wearing a short-sleeve button-up shirt and trousers. Mr. Fensky, of Compton, California, is sitting next to the principal, dressed in a t-shirt.
